24 SSD Drives in RAID.

okay some one please explain hat ssd's are to me sorry and thanks
but all that was freaking impressive as heck holy fracking cow!
They use flash memory for storage instead of spinning platters and read/write heads.

Less heat
No noise because they have no moving parts
Less energy consumption
Amazing speed

SSD's are far superior to regular hard drives, but are extremely expensive right now.
 
Why did they defragment the drive? Fragmention on somthing like that would be benificial, as far as I can tell - And Defragmention of SSD's is supposed to be bad for the drive.
