It's available in both standard bit forms. 32 bit and 64 bit, buying without checking can lead to lack of hardware support.

There is a 64-bit version as well but it has huge runtime problems. If you get xp always get 32-bit.

I'm sure your version is 32 bit. The 64 bit version is pretty uncommon.

You can't get the 32 bit new, for the most part, either. I liked xp x64. I used it until I installed Vista. And I used that until I got the windows 7 beta.

I like it. And xp x64 ran much better than the 32 bit. Fewer bugs and more stable. It won't run 16 bit apps, though, just like vista and 7.

A good friend installed XP 64 bit and has had zero problems. I love my Vista 64 bit; it's very stable for me.
