Western Digital 1.5GB/s Limiter?

I've got an older 1.5 Sata motherboard that I want to hook up a couple 500gb western digital drives to for a server. The motherboard won't recognize the 3.0gb/s speeds, only 1.5. Does anybody know of a jumper setting on WD drives that limit the speed to 1.5gb/s?

Seagate has a limiter, and i've tested one of my seagate drives already, and it worked when it was limited, not in 3gb/s though.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
