Hi I have a asus p5p800-mx motherboard using the lga775 socket processor.
I can't get any signal from the motherboard to the monitor, sometimes it works sometimes not, changed the ram but the same problem.
Now i wanted to get another motherboard this one http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=848P7MB-S&cat=MBB
Will my processor work with than motherboard????
The processor is a pentium 4 2.80ghz/1m /800/ 04a

yh that should work, it does say on the site that it supports Intel Pentium 4 Socket 775 processors with 800/533 MHz FSB

Is it onboard video? Why not just buy a cheap video card and install it instead of getting another motherboard where you'll have more headaches.

Also, are you sure it's not the monitor? Have you tried different monitors on your pc? Have you tried your monitor on a different pc?

That motherboard will work, but you'll need an AGP video card for it as it does not have a built in video chip.

why dont you update to a PCI-E board agp is a bit outdated
and pci definitly becomes a bottleneck with a regular pci card
