is this the thing where you ask your bank for mortgage papers or something?
and the reason why it stalls payment is because the bank gives them to another bank and to another and another. It will take awhile just to track the papers and get them back.

Yeah good way to stall the bank from being able to take your home....It's a good tool for people who are going to lose their home but actually want to try and make it better on their own not with some govt funding....

80 something year old women in my home county broke back into the million pound house she was repossessed out of. She was so resistant to leave the bailiffs had to physically carry her out. She broke back in again and again...

The bank have since given up, and consulted the bailiffs to cancel the repossession.
