This is a start I'm sure there is others who will chime in and give some good help as well but with your RAM as long as its compatible and your external disk drive this should cover everything else. The case comes with a power supply but from the reviews it doesn't seem to be very good but some people didn't have a problem with it. I personally have this case and didn't even use the PSU so I can't vouch for it either way since I never even used it.

Hi I'm new to these forums and I thought I would just put in my 2 cents. When it comes to video cards and what not, just make sure that the video card has the right connector (ie AGP, PCI, PCI-E). Looking at the motherboard you have, it says it has One (1) PCI-Express x16/x8 graphics card slot.
So yes! it is compatible with your motherboard. Cases are generally very easy to tell. Just make sure that you match the form factors with the motherboard. Mid and Full cases will accept ATX and mATX form factor motherboard, while mini mATX cases (smaller looking ones) can only slot mATX. And if you bought your motherboard new, it should come with all the necessary cables. The 3-pin comes from your power supply unit.

I would advise you to change your cpu to at LEAST a core 2 duo, buy that video card quick, and NOT buy case + power supply combos because its like playing russian roulette most of the time ( you may get a great psu or a garbage one). I would opt for just a nice, cheap looking case (or just keep your old one) and look into the ultra psus, they offer a lifetime warranty on their psus and advanced RMA (if it breaks down, they will ship you a new, generally better one first and you have to ship the broken one down)

Yeah like Holy said I would change the CPU and also the one you selected is refurbished....I would try to stay away from refurbished parts, re-certified is better than refurbished IMHO. If you are doing alot of editing I definitely suggest a quad core and AMD offers "true" quads at much lower prices...I would look into those since you can get em relatively cheap now.....Holy was also right about the PSU combo with Case as well although you can end up with a good one...Like I said I bought my current case as a combo but I already upgraded the PSU before I even started her up...As soon as I opened the case I pulled it out and put in my OCZ 700W... But on a tight budget they can be good as long as you get a good one...

Also if you do get a separate CPU and Heat-sink make sure you have some thermal paste as well because there is always a chance that the one you purchase will NOT have thermal paste with it... I suggest MX-2
Other than that all the stuff you found will all work together...

He won't be needing thermal paste. As for the GPU, go for it. I wish I didn't buy a 9600GT 2 days ago.

If you went to the link he posted for what he found the CPU Is the CPU only no Heatsink so He was purchasing another heatsink which means most likely he will need the thermal paste and I already suggested him that CPU but with a combo deal with Mobo for 40 bucks cheaper than the combo that you gave....

Edit***Well I guess that one he selected says it comes with some....But still better safe than sorry.....
