Program in task bar, can you change the name?

I made a post, but I don't know where it went And it had no replies when it was on the third page a few days ago..

My example was:

I'm playing World of Warcraft and in my task bar it has "World of Warcraft" with the WoW Icon in front. -

Is there any way to change both the name and the icon? This is with any program really...

Right click and select "rename"

Icon: right click>properties>shortcut>change icon

In the task bar... I know how to do almost anything, and expecially how to change an Icon, but it doesn't change anything in the task bar. I'm wondering if the name is in a DLL file somewhere, and if it's calling the icon from somewhere else.

And you can't change the icon of an executable, at least not the WoW one. I tried that a few days ago.

My best advice is try a hex editor like Resource Hacker. It's a free program if you'll look it up.

Thanks, I tried that a long time ago to change some stuff on msn messenger. Forgot about it, will try it tomorrow.
