i was fooling around with my desktop folder location and now its lost
how do i change it back to default... in vista

The desktop folder is located under "C:\users>user account name>desktop". If you ended up moving it from that location try moving back there. You can also create a new one with the same name and copy items from the Start>Programs for each item and paste them on the desktop as replacements.

The nice thing about having everything placed on the quick launch bar in Vista is being able to copy them for new desktop shortcuts as well.
