Will this run a 4870 1GB fine?

Just trying to Identify my issue with the card

The 12V output is pretty low for an HD 4870. If it's a problem with your PSU, you're most likely getting lockups/freezes/reboots etc.

Thats what I was thinking, but I am not really powering alot too, just 1 HDD and 1 DVD drive, and a WD passport external. All in an Antec 900. I mean I think I should buy a new PSU anyways seeing as how mine is probably from 2006.

Yea, make sure that the amps needed for the video card on the 12V rail+ all the other 12V eating devives amp needs are exceeded by the PSU.

Thanks, I figure it will be nice to have if I ever want to crossfire, or throw a water cooling kit in there. I was gonna go with some 1066 mhz ram but from what I hear, it wont even run at that speed most of the time, so i figure ill pay less for some 1000mhz ram and over clock when i want to in the future
