OCing my E8400...

Yeah that's what I figured...it's just funny cuz it doesn't seem like that in BIOS (i'm working on uploading pictures).

The whole thing with 400/800 is cuz it's DDR "2" right? or no?

DDR

Double Data Rate

It doesn't matter if it is DDR, DDR2 or DDR3 it is still double data rate, DDR3 400 is not 1200MHz

EDIT:

Try 3.60GHz with 400MHz FSB x 9 multi at around 1.30 - 1.325V

Okay here's some pics of the BIOS (latest rev.)

I'm not sure why 1:1 isn't sync mode, but oh well, what does it matter?

I would loosen your RAM timings to 5-5-5-15 until you have your CPU OC nailed and to take the stress of the NB, which eliminates variables.

Continue to bump the Vcore until you get it stable at 3.3. And make sure you take note of the in windows Vcore under load.

Yeah..I understood what you were saying, I just wanted you to know why I was confuzzled :S

But yes, as for the rest of the stuff, I'm going to drop mem timings down cuz I'm thining that's why it froze at 3.4 even after orthos...so I'll keep working on it and hopefully have it stable at some point and will let everyone know.
