Yeah, simple things like oil changes can be done by yourself. Cheaper and it's just good knowledge to have.

Even then, Lancer Evos are just expensive to own. They're not all that reliable and maintenance is just a bitch and costs a lot. Theres a reason why you'll find so many Evos on Craigslist selling for what seems like a good price. People just buy them, drive them hard for 10,000 miles or so then sell them.

So? I only put Mobil1 motor oil in my car too. 5 quarts of motor oil shouldn't cost you $100. Neither should the oil filter cost that much.

I say that if you can't do repairs, upgrades, and maintenence, you should not be able to own a sports/muscle/tuner car and BRAG about it...it's just ridiculous.
