Laptop all of a sudden running choppy

Is your your HDD like custom made? My HDD was a basic 250GB Western Digital or something like that with a SATA connector and a SATA Cable..

(I'm talking about my Inspiron 531)

You dont need to buy the parts from dell...i've used a different HDD in my dell from an old HP, and ive ordered a new psu and gpu off of newegg and put it in my dell and it worked fine.

Nah everything on it came from dell. I guess if I have to send it in, I'd rather just upgrade and get a bigger HD, only have ~80gigs now. Sucks, but oh well.

thats weird, ive always been told you have to get parts from dell for dell pcs, its like dell programs the parts themselves for their pcs
