What the heck is a PEG slot

I have a dell optiplex gx280 Small desktop PC. I want to upgrade the graphics card, so i was looking to see what kind of slot i have. I found out i have 2 PCI slots and a PEG slot. I think a peg slot is a PCI express x16 slot but i don't know. So i looked online for a PCI express x16 graphics card,a nd i found a good one with a reasonable price. But then i saw that on my computer, it wouldn't fit. The card would be too big. I was wondering if someone could please help me. I need a good graphics card, but a standard PCI card with 125mb doesn't suit me. Please help!!!

P.S i think i can only put a half-height card in

I don't see anything referring to a "PEG" slot. It does have a PCI-Express slot though.

I think you are correct in that you'll need a low profile card.
