Can MSN users still only communicate with other MSN users? That's the reason I never used it. Everyone I know uses AIM. I'm the only person that uses Trillian, but it can run multiple protocols.

there is one on the net called www.iloveim.com which uses myspace, gmail, yahoo, hotmail and AIM and it is really good even if you dont have yahoo gmail, msn etc.

I use Pidgin on Windows/Linux. And then on OS X, I use Adium. I also use Palringo and Skype from time to time.
