Hi,

I recently had to RMA my Asus P5Q Pro, and I got a new one. The old issue was fixed, but, now my computer is not recognizing my HDD. All 3 cords are plugged in correctly. I have tried switching the power cords.

Oh my god I hate ASUS.

It's also giving me an error about the "Express Gate" not being correctly installed. What the hell? This is too confusing.

The Express Gate is a rather recent software package for Asus boards that comes included on the software/driver cd. http://expressgate.asus.com/

3 cords? power, data, and ? What type of drive are you trying to run there?

When mentioning switching the power cords are you talking about having the 15pin along with the standard four wire molex type both plugged in at the same time? I hope not since it's one or the other for 12v not 24v!

The Sata II drives still see the option for using that type plug in case the supply is on an old system seeing the 20pin main without any 15pin power plugs for sata drives. But the likely problem now could be the refurbish if that's the original board you got back.
