Hey,

I am also desperately trying to get a computer to record some music. I don't have any money to spend though. My friend actually got a laptop for free from a scam so im going to try that. I think i will shoot for the macbook since i've heard it does the best with media. Any thoughts?

ok for my compute when I first got it it came with this dvd burner cd burner combo drive but one day while messing with cables inside my pc the ide cable messed up and so i had to throw it away but i want to buy another ide cable for this dvd drive but im kinda dumb and dont know which kinda ide cable to get does it matter?
