CPU temps are random

Hi there, currently my CPU temps for my quad core are at 44, 34,39,41. I have seen some screenshots of quad core temps and they are usually much more similar is value; there is a 10 deg difference between two of my cores. Is this normal?

Yes, quads are often like that. I've had two Q6600s, with one the cores were 5c apart, 10c on another. It's caused by the IHS not making complete even contact with all the cores underneath, so the heat isn't transferred as efficiently from all the cores. That, or it's just the thermal sensors.
