Okay I have been looking at this stuff for quite some time, constantly changing my mind and tweaking things around a bit. I finally realized that at this rate, I would never get my computer. :) So I think I have finalized my build, but I am asking for a final review to make sure the parts work well together, I am not missing out on anything, not missing a better deal, etc. Open to suggestions/opinions. Thanks!

Btw, I will be mostly gaming on my HP w1907 widescreen monitor at 1440 x 900. Want to be able to run most games with decent frames.

Here's my setup:

Again this is my first build...with shipping it comes to about $655 with about $55 in MIR, so about $600 even. Please let me know if I overlooked anything, or just if I am missing a deal or buying a bad product. Thank you.

Agree with pretty much everything there. I'd probably get the 500W modular version though, it'll be much nicer for cable management and still have enough power.

I'd suggest a different motherboard, the reviews are pretty "meh" and for that kind of $$ you can get a decent P35 or P45 ASUS or Gigabyte...

this ASUS P5Q Pro has a MIR making it less than $90 and has free shipping

X2.

I think of Biostar as an AMD manufacturer not Intel. The money's with Asus and Gigabyte as far as Intel goes.

Newegg reviews don't really mean anything because most of the people don't know what they are doing

If you just look at the overall, yes. I usually read a good 30-40 reviews before I buy an item. If you do it like me they're great help. I write some myself.

newegg reviews ftw..basically built my computer off them.
You're joking, right? 95% of the Newegg reviewers are n00bs who know nothing at all.

The Biostar looks fine to me, 4 phase power, all solid caps, IDE connector where it should be.

well i read the ones that actually have some though put into them..not the ones that are like.. this is awesome!! or like this mouse is so bad..i dont get triple dinks 24/7
