If I go onto Skype for example, and I play some music on my computer, they can hear it (a little distorted) but the funny thing is I have no microphone. If I don't play anything, all they can hear is a distorted static sound.

Another example would be when I play some music and I record a Voice Clip in Windows Live Messenger, they can hear what I'm playing (again, it's distorted). I have no microphone attached to my computer so how is it that they can still hear whatever my computer plays. Something to do with my speakers?

Thanks.

if you go to control panel and you sound and audio devices... click the voice tab, then under recording click volume. see if you have a box under "What U hear" checked

when you are on that window go to options and click properties

you should get a window like this:

select the what u hear if it isnt already and hit ok. now see if it shows it selected

make sure you are in the voice recording settings not the playback ones too

Thanks for the image, but I don't have that "What U Hear" box.

I currently have:

Recording Control [CHECKED]
CD Volume [UNCHECKED]
Mic Volume [CHECKED]
Line Volume [CHECKED]
Stereo Mix [UNCHECKED]

My mixer device is: Realtek HD Audio Input

Ah. The problem seemed to have dissappeared. I didn't really do anything either. I opened up the Realtek Control Panel and that seem to have reset it. :S

I hope this will last. Thanks for your efforts.
