My First Build

Hey everyone, I've been reading this board for a few months and I've been trying to put together my first build. I'm currently an education student, and will be basically using this for school work, and when I graduate, to put together lesson plans, so nothing fancy - I'm not much of a gamer. Being a student, I am sort of on a budget. Anyway this is my first build, I'm still not completely sure of myself, so I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

My main concern is I chose this PSU/case combo to save some money. I know the PSU probably isn't great, but I figured I could get away with it until I have a bit more money to spend.

I wouldn't cheap out on the PSU
Save some more money and get yourself a better quality one
If your PSU goes, possibly some of your parts might fail with it...
And where exactly is your GPU lol

My bad, the motherboard has an integrated Radeon X1250 GPU. If I need another/better GPU could anyone give recommendations?

Are you going to be playing many games?
Just remember that onboard GPU's take memory from your motherboard or something like that
In other words, they don't have their own memory.

First off I would change that CPU to an AMD 5400+X2 BE. You will have to chip in a little bit for a CPU cooler and I would get the Xigmatek HDT-S963. This should guarantee you an easy 3.0GHz overclock with room for more. Next I'd change your chipset to this awesome 750SB; Biostar TA790GX. It comes with ATI HD3300 onboard which would be a great improvement over the one in the current chipset you have posted. Like said earlier, get a decent PSU (Antec Basiq 500W). I'd get the same case with no PSU.

i have the antec basiq 500W, and the centurion 5 case by coolmaster...the case is great, though it gets dusty since its a mesh front screen...but overall great deal for what you get...

The 780G is only $10 more, and it is much better board in every single way. If you're going to be overclocking, a 790GX would be even better like Joga said. Both of them have onboard video.
