Aero theme question Is it a must have for vista?

What is it's purpose? Is it a gaming thing?

it has nothing to do with gaming at all. actually i think once you open a game vista disables Aero and goes to normal vista theme

its suppose to look cooler switching between screens, you get a preview of what each tab in the toolbar looks like.
Ive been using Vista for awhile, and i havent been using it since... ever.

just looks nicer/smoother. windows open up real nice. in non aero when you open a window or something its all a bit boring.

Yeah, I like the look of Aero, I figure if you are going to be sitting in front of something for hours it may as well look good.

it kinda looks like crap. I'm personally a classic windows guy. all my comps have every "nice looking" thing turned off like transitions and closing windows and the pretty blue bar on xp.
