Get your GTX 295 While They're Hot!

This thing is probably 2 feet long :p

enough about me already, this thread is about the GTX295...

now back to the card, if you're a big Crysis Warhead fan and play at 2560x1600 (4xAA, 8xAF) then the 4870x2 is still the card to get beating out the 295 by about 3 FPS 20 to 17...

I have the step up option. I just don't see the current need for that card. It would be nice if my PSU could handle it. I just don't want to spend $260 on that card and $220 on a new PSU, especially with the current economy and my next to nothing hours at work.

I think your PSU would be able to handle it, it only consumes about 30w more at load than a GTX260...

according to geeksmack.net and most other sources...

here's a chart showing the total system power consumption from overclock3d.net

it doesn't even top out over 500w, if that Xigmatek is a decent 650w you should be good to go...

the GTX295 pretty much takes the 4870x2, throws it down and sits on it in every resolution except 2560x1600 where the lack of memory limits it...
