Im tinkering around with different distro's,so far i have tried:

-Ubuntu 8.04
-OpenSUSE 11

Im downloading Mandriva and PCLINUXOS To try out,any others that i should try?

I've been using Ubuntu Distro for nearly a week now.

And it's very different to Windows. Dare I say it, better than Windows?

Anyway i'm trying to get used to it cause I will be setting up a small Linux box to serve web pages.

I'm going to give SUSI a go next and i've got Mint on CD.

Fedora, Corel, FreeBSD, and slackware.

I tried Ubuntu, but I could never get it to work right. I am messing around with a bunch of distros as well to try and rebuild my knowledge. I am currently using Red Hat, but that is an older distro.

Hi,

I would recommend that you try Ubuntu, SUSE, or Fedora. These are all pretty easy distros to get a handle on. They are all free too, so that is a plus. Let me know if you need any help with them and I will try my best to help.

Cheers!

Hi,

Yes slackware would be a good challenge, but I feel that it might be a bit much for a complete noob to the linux world. There is just too much that you can mess up. Especailly if the OP is going to dual then they could have some major problems.

Cheers!
