Windows Vista Ultra 32bit vs XP Pro 64 Bit?

id ask to be sure becuae my dad bought one from his work and he thought it was 32-bit. It was on the barcode in little writing and said 64-bit

If you can't decide, get both, because that's a good deal and very cheap!
Buy XP and Vista, try Vista out, if you don't like it sell it or keep it for future use, if you do like it sell XP because they won't be selling it anymore soon.

Also, how much do you use the comuter and what do you do on the computer?

I'll probably running it 5 days a week with school gaming internet and stuff of the sort

I wouldn't say, "then vista for sure", what's wrong with XP?
Just buy both if you can as I said in my previous post.

XP isn't DirectX 10 Compliant for newer games

Meh, DX10 is required and won't be for a while. The only thing I know that requires Vista atm is Halo 2. But I got an XP patch for that and that's Microsoft's fault.

(cry) nvm...they're out of xp pro 64 and only have 32 systems.

I think ill go with vista ultimate then and follow the crowd (currently using xp home edition)

Is ultimate really that "ultimate"?

hellgate london, Two Worlds, all of the newer games crysis etc

They don't require DX10 or Vista though. They CAN be used with them, but NOT REQUIRED.

So yeah...but your not going to want Vista just for DX10.

But it's awesome we have hackers in the world. Isn't it? I mean, I got Halo 2 for XP! (not that I play it a lot anyway) but it just shows that soon hackers will find other ways to 'emulate' these things and make them compatible with other objects/platforms.
