recovery CD question

Hello all. I am building a new computer and I am wondering if there will be any conflict using recovery CDs to install the OS. By conflict, I mean drivers. Recovery CDs are from an old HP.

Hell will freeze over before those discs will work on your new computer.

It won't work. Use Linux or just buy Windows.

The only time there is a chance that it would work is when you are using it on a VERY similar computer and usually when its like Windows 98 (where no activation is needed). Still would have to fix the drivers and what not.

Well. This sucks. Just got a new comp. for Christmas but no OS. I just though I could use the recovery CD's.

Yea, the recovery CD's will only work on an HP.
