Computer recorder?

hey im looking for a recorder that is on my computer so i can record game play and things for like youtube and what not... does anyone know of like a really really good one? preferably free please or at least like a one time buy type of thing and im on a PC... windows XP... i dont know if that is relevant information but just in case
