Hello everybody

My USB ports don't work and I want to replace my motherboard. I currently have an Asus P4P800 SE. I would just buy one of those but they are discontinued. So I am wondering what do I need to take into consideration when buying a new motherboard so that I will be sure my processor and memory will be compatible with it.

Here is a link to the motherboard specs

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition SP 2
Motherboard: Asus P4P800 SE
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
Memory: 512 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
Video Card: Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB AGP
Sound Card: Creative SB0090 Audigy Platinum Sound Card
Hard Drive: Maxtor 6Y080L0 (80 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133)
Optical Drive: NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A (Doesn't Work)
Power Supply: Not sure

You need whatever socket your processor is and a motherboard that supports DDR RAM. You should find a motherboard very cheap. You have an old system. No company makes AGP motherboards anymore.
