LAN problem

hi ive been having trouble with my LAN setup

ive got two computers hooked up through a hub

the two computers can see each other but when i attempt to play starcraft

over and ipx connection i cant join any games created.

ive got quake 3 working just fine but starcraft just doesnt want to work.

any help appreciated.

Do the games show up, or does it give you an error saying you can't join the game?

The IPX protocol is not installed on windows by default, I'm not even sure if you can install it at all anymore.
