bought a new TV today, VGA input of course 
plugged in the VGA cable, with both TV and PC tower turned off at the mains and unplugged, so absolutely no power could get to them
turned it on, and all my other devices work (xbox, sky, etc...) but the PC input wont work
it will load the 1st screen (saying what company produced the chip) and all the way up to the loading screen with "microsoft corperation" on (windows vista users will know what im on about)
but then before it comes onto the welcome screen where you enter your password, it goes off and displays "Unknown Device"
any ideas people
if it helps, the TV is "Onn 26" HD ready, blah blah TV" and the tower is an "Acer Aspire M1610, with windows vista OS"
