Anti-static wrist strap

I just touch the case and it's seemed to work for me.

I have never used one either. I used rubber gloves with one build. I just touch the case before, just in case.

I just occasionally touch bare copper pipework when working on computers.

I do it more often if i'm moving about, especailly on carpet.

I havnt used an anti static wrist strap when working with computers before,i havnt noticed any phantom motherboard fry's

Well I wouldn't go near that kettle. What if it falls? Its gonna land right on your keyboard. And keyboards don't like water.

Whatever happened to the wriststraps that you plug into the ground prong of a standard outlet?

Those should still be out there. I've used those plenty of times and never had a zap.
