Hi. Sorry, another newbie here. Don't get too frustrated. Thanks.
I just bought a Rocketfish RF-HD35 Hard drive enclosure, to put my old 98SE OS hard drive into, and then transfer info to my new Vista Home Premium OS hard drive in my new HP pavilion a6600f PC. My problem: When I put the drivers and utilities CD into my tower and try to install the software, I get a window that opens and tells me, "Sorry, the install wizard can't find the proper component for the current platform. Please press OK to terminate the install wizard." Upon another try to install, I got a message saying, "Sorry, the install wizard can't find the supported hardware in your system. You should check your hardware and try again. Please press OK to terminate the install wizard." Being a newbie, I'm at a loss. Any ideas to remedy my situation. Thanks in advance.

The drivers might be incompatible with Vista OS.

See if you can find updated drivers.

Also, do you need the software to run the hardware?

I've plugged in a few external hard drives and they just show up as another drive. And thats without installing any software.
