What would you use these for...

Probably a lot of typing on the go. I have an friend who's go an Asus EEE PC. He uses it a lot for programming and takes in on trips and such.

more aimed for kids, or very computer illiterate people, i guess.

same here, i think there bad ass, and i want one too, just to screw around on :D

You mean netbooks? They're useful for frequent travelers who don't need a full fledged notebook.

I was thinking of buying one, but the keyboard is a huge turnoff. I need a sturdy full sized keyboard.

I was playing with one at Costco today, And I almost bought one. It"d be pretty handy for school, Whip it out for quick notes, and with SSD's, I wouldn't have to worry about bouncing around and breaking.

I seen one on newegg with 8+ hours of battery life. Thats amazing.

EDIT- The Solid State Drives are small.

i think there crazy expesive too, but i cant wait to see them match price with regular HDD's :D

But, you can get a Netbook with a SSD for like $350. I am serisouly considering one of these. They look fun.
