Hi, 1st if this in the wrong place I am sorry.
I need a little help on buying a PCI-E 2.0 ( The 16 Pin one? ) Graphics card, Im looking for a pretty decent graphics card and dont know what to buy. Ive been recently looking at the "XfX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition". But thought about getting one more powerfull. Im thinking of having similar performance power the an Xbox 360.
Im looking for an Nvidia powered one. My power supply at the moment is only 350 Watt ( I think but im sure its not more than 400 )
I have no problem in buying another PSU in which im thinking of a 700w PSU.
So in turn I kinda need help knowing what PSU to get as well as the Graphics Card.
Im looking to Spend £140 - £160/170 no more on a Graphics Card and £40-£50 on a PSU.
My PC Specs are as follows:
Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual
4600 Both Cores running at 2.4ghz Each
2Gb Ram - Can Be upgraded but not on the top of my list
I have 1 Sata HDD, 1 Sata DvD Rom,1 IDE HDD and 1 IDE Cd-Rw ( So I know I need a PSu with both connector types or can I get a converter ? )
My motherboard is a Biostar Group Gf7050-m2 and has
3Pci Slots,1 PCi-e x16 Slot and 1 Pci-E x1 Slot
The only thing running off my PSu at the moments are the IDE and Sata Drives and my Motherboard. I am running Windows XP Pro.
Any help on what Graphics Card would best suit my gaming needs and what PSU would be needed to run it along with my current Hardware would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
