So, I'm putting a christmas list up. Im using newegg and plan on spending 500$, maby a bit more. I already have a harddrive, a CD rom drive, and beast mode case that will fit any motherboard you throw at it..

It doesn't have to run 'AMAZING' games. Just WoW, but I don't want it just to run WoW. I want it to be at full video settings in game and in the drivers and run 60 fps everwhere :D
I also work at best buy so I get a employee discount, so I can pick up ram there and possably a videocard we just got the ATI HD 4870 :]

So this is what I picked out so far alota combos so I save there
CPU, Power supply combo::
CPU::
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
PSU::
OCZ OCZ700MXSP 700W
MoBo::

Any sugestions :]?
Rember WoW amazing video settings 60 fps where ever, nomatter whats going on <3

If you get a discount, pick up the GTX280. My friend works at Best Buy too. He got his for about $250. It was actually cheaper than the 4870 and it blows that card out of the water.

I can get a good discount on it, and we have it at my store

we do have the GTX 260 but Im looking for something for wow so I think thats a lil too powerfull

700 watts is overkill for your system. You'll need a very nice card for 60FPS on most newer games on full settings. Crysis still brings my system down to it's knees. The minimum I hit is 20-25 FPS in intense outdoor firefights. This is in very high settings with no AA or AF. Too bad the game sucks, haha!

Haha everyone normally freaks out about Crysis
But WoW... the 4 year old game ;P

There's going to be a BIG price increase going from something that can run WOW perfectly to something that can run every game at 60FPS+ no matter what. Do you really think it's worth it if you're not going to play anything else other than WOW?

I don't freak out. It's still a difficult game to run. This is mainly because of bad programming and design. It's a better benchmark than a game.

Just want to run WoW perfectly, is the videocard I picked good enough?
If not something from newegg something from the best buy sight thats around 200 or so, maby a bit more. My discount is quite random

It really depends on your video card. As long as you're running one, 600 watts will be more than enough. I have 650W only because of a great deal on a fantastic power supply. I wouldn't trust Rosewill. I almost went with one of their power supplies. They get horrible reviews EVERYWHERE on the internet. Never skimp on a PSU. If you're spending $1000 on your other hardware. Why skimp out on the power? The part that will fry your whole system easily?

If you really want some headroom, go for this.

For that price. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, if I needed it. It isn't modular. The first one is.
