Have you heard of it? If so, have you personally used it? I was reading an article from Information Week on it and I became interested. Other than speed, do you notice any improvements from the Internet?

No. That's something else. Internet2 is like an elite internet if you will. Only colleges and some research groups get it. That Large Hadron Collider in France gets to use it. Network speeds as fast as 100GBs. Should help with the 2TB of data they'll be sending every 4 hours.

Probably a good time to switch to IPv6 when this is being rolled out before we all run out of IPs!

Somthing similar happens in my area... but on a MUCH smaller scale. A single connection is divided across a bunch of schools/a uni...

I havn't had PROPPER experience of it - only a throttled version.

It wasn't "Internet2" - It was just a fu** off fast connection that was split up!
