Gallery: Your desktop

Hey Istonian, where do you get your themes and desktop programs for Ubuntu?

Install Ubuntu Tweak from http://www.getdeb.net. With Ubuntu Tweak you can have the latest software with the Third Party updater. Most of my programs are in the repository and can be installed through Synaptic.

Avant Window Navigator is the dock, The ring sensors and clock on the other screenie are from the program Screenlets. The calendar is rainlendar2. The theme for the first screenie is regular ol' clearlooks with the Blended Metacity theme. That can be found at http://www.gnome-look.org. Just download the theme, go to Appearance, then Install and choose the theme.

The dark theme is one I made myself. You can find tons of dark themes on gnome-look though.

I think that pretty much covers all of it. Tell me if there is something else you need info about.

Makes me think...I need Mac OS X, and a Linux distro installed. Tri-boot with a standalone MBR on a 100Meg partition. I might need to either unplug the second hard drive, or replace it. (All OSes foinds problem with the file system tables. SMART failed on drive, but now, it doesn't prompt me anymore.)

The Power Mac hasn't been in production in years.

It's Mac by the way, not MAC.
idk how old ours are. Like 2 or 3 years I think. At the time they cost $2500 apparently!! All they have is 512mb, 1.8ghz dual core or something, and about 150gb... Not much better then my 4 year old Dell that cost $600.
