I have the 32 bit installed on my computer. How can I convert it to the 64 bit system. I have the orginal disk and key. What do I need to do and how much does it cost to upgrade to that system. Thanks
You can utilize more ram on a 64-bit. On a 32-bit, it's usually 4GB of RAM. All of it doesn't even get read, though. On a 64-bit, the sky is the limit! Or, as much as your motherboard supports.
I am thinking about upgrading the mobo, video card and use some sata 500 gb hard drives on the upgrade. 8 GB Ram So it will be a good time to upgrade to the 64 bit system. Just starting in gaming so I am in a learing curve.
Not a full licence..just a disk. You can order a 64 bit disk from microsoft and use your 32 bit key. I ordered one and it cost 15 australian dollars. Or if you have ultimate edition you will have 32 and 64 bit.
If you own a legal copy of Vista 32 bit, you should be able to get the 64 bit version disc from Microsoft for around $10. Go here to find out more: www.windowsvista.com/1033/ordermedia
