I have the 32 bit installed on my computer. How can I convert it to the 64 bit system. I have the orginal disk and key. What do I need to do and how much does it cost to upgrade to that system. Thanks

You will have to buy Vista again. There should be a 64-bit edition. You can't upgrade. You have to fresh install.

First off, fix your signature so it is only 5 lines.

As far as 64-bit Vista, really the only major advantage is the ability to use 4GB or more of RAM.

From looking at your build, with 32 bit, you will only be able to take advantage of 3.75 GB of RAM.

You can utilize more ram on a 64-bit. On a 32-bit, it's usually 4GB of RAM. All of it doesn't even get read, though. On a 64-bit, the sky is the limit! Or, as much as your motherboard supports.

Fixed sorry>>>>>

I am thinking about upgrading the mobo, video card and use some sata 500 gb hard drives on the upgrade. 8 GB Ram So it will be a good time to upgrade to the 64 bit system. Just starting in gaming so I am in a learing curve.

Retail includes both 32bit and 64bit, you'd just have to format and reinstall.

Bad luck if you bought an OEM copy though.
