AMD Athlon X2 4400+, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia geforce 7300 GS,

Not that powerful of hardware. I can do the same thing with my Pentium 4 system with 768 MB of RAM.

Wow, what version of Linux is it? Might duel boot for fun... Or put it on another HDD.

This is running Ubuntu 8.04. I am running it because of LTS. The newest version is Ubuntu 8.10.

Yeah, people who have been around Compiz are pretty used to it. It wows a bunch of Windows and Mac users who had never saw it before.
