Wondering which mobo to buy.

Asus P5K Deluxe/Wifi

- Pros: Lots Of Ports, Cheaper

- Cons: Slower/Older Fsb

Asus P5E Deluxe

-Pros: Faster FSB, Comes With Audio Card

-Cons: Not A lot Of Ports, No Wifi, More Expensive

(P5K comes with onboard 8 channel audio, is that as good as audio card?)

Any idea what cpu your going to put in there? Is the wifi important to you? You can get a dynex pci wifi card for pretty cheap at bestbuy if you really need it. About the audio, I wouldn't really factor that in unless you have a 8ch home theater system and you don't plan on buying another sound card.

i wouldnt get the wifi one, my friend did and something happened to it.he got mad and bought an msi instead.he wouldnt remomend it i dont think. my opinion your cloice.

Yea i Just like the p5K for all the ports, only reason i want it

Get the ASUS P5E

Supports Fast RAM, Higher FSB, Dual PCI-E 2.0, Has a better quality Sound Card, Has a Firewireport, Has the newer P45 Chipset

The P5K has E-SATA, over the P5E but Some Cases have Built in E-Sata ports (such as the Antec 1200) that could remedy the situation should you need an E-SATA port.

I agree with LambOfGod, not much point spending so much on a high end P35 board when the X38 and now the P45 are out. Both have more features and better overclockability. The P5E (X38) is a great choice.
