I'm a right mug

I've got the card in it's slot now. Now when i start the PC with the card in, the PC just starts up black. So i have to take it out the slot to use the PC. Im guessing i've just missed a vital install step.

But as far as i can tell you have to start the pc up with the card in it's slot to install it.

The OS should have basic drivers to receive an image from the card. If you have plugged it in, seated it correctly, and plugged in a working cable you should see an image.
