I hope there is a price drop in the uk, the cheapest one here is 300, if its really 319 on newegg im tempted to guy it, and pay sombody to ship it to the uk for me
but then you need a new board, which is about $200 on newegg, and then some DDR3 ram if you dont have them already.

the Core 2 Duo is doing fine as it is right now, so why upgrade?
I think most would wait until the cost goes down like what dual cores and DDR2 rams are now.
I would probably only pay $100 for a processor, $150 for a mobo, and proabably about $70 for ram at most.
