My other laptop stopped working!!! I need help figuring out whats wrong with it.

you can put your vista repair disk in.

if you do not have one you can make one, download this:

You need a torrent program to download, so lets start of with download Bitlord from bitlord.com and choose stable version, now download and install, now click http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ and download which ever one your windows is, i'm gussing it's 32bit, anyhow, download it via bitlord and then when it's done follow this

goodluck man

So is it possible to install this if your windows wont boot up?

I don't know if them recovery disks work but people say they have.

You asked if you could go to an earlier point and I'm telling you that the download is your answer or a good enough answer for it to work as you'd like.

Have you even tried booting it up in safe?

I'm sorry but you seem to not have tried what Computer Head has said, so the only way of you getting things to work is to do try it, you don't seemed to have understood to well.

Safe mode is useful as you can run tests and see what things are.

Is there a way to do that before windows start cause even in safe mode I don't think I will get past the update that's gone bad.

To my knowledge, Safe Mode will bypass the update finalization process. Try it just to be sure. I'm pretty sure I was able to boot successfully via safe mode when I had the same problem.

You would have to download this with a torrent program, and burn it to a disc, using a "working" computer. Given that this is a vista repair disc, it should boot from the disc without loading Windows, like if you had done a fresh install of Vista. However, I suggest trying to resolve the problem via System Restore in safe mode before repairing Windows, as it is easier if you can restore it rather than completely repair the installation.

Agree, safe mode all the way.

You only do restore if you can't get the problem done.

goodluck man lets hope this helps.
