Anybody else go see it tonight? Just got back. I thought it was pretty good, no Casino Royale, but it wasn't bad IMO.
Some things could have used some improvement, but for the most part, it wasnt that bad. I don't want to ruin it though, so I won't discuss too much here yet.

I just got back from it also. I liked it. However I don't think it has all the Bond classics (such as lines and actions) that you see on older movies. That was the only thing I didn't like. It was pretty action packed. And actually, I thought the plot was kind of mediocre.

The idea behind the plot was good, great reference to Modern society, and good reference to Goldfinger, which was the greatest Bond Classic. The Director was not too great in this though, cool action scenes, but cuts were too fast.
And Craigs amazing Bond was sort of ruined in this movie. His calm collectiveness of Casino Royale was gone, and he wasnt as strong anymore, even though he acted like it.
And the Villin was good, but the finishing of the Villin, not so good...

I've never watched Goldfinger. If I have then I don't know. So this reference is unknown to me. I assume it refers to the "friend" who aided him to travel to a certain place. I really thought the plot was bad though. I didn't like it at all. It was very blurry between revenge and that company.

Yeah, I saw it last week. I though it was pretty good, and much more action packed than Casino Royale - But Im not sure about the story line.

No, the reference was the dead girl on the bed covered in oil. It was a dead girl coated with gold paint in Goldfinger. You need to go see Goldfinger, best Bond film of all time.

Any Bond film with Sean Connery is the best Bond film of all time.

I heard the plot in this film was decent, but the action was a lot better than Casino Royale. Which is good for a Bond film cause they've traditionally had a lot of action in the past. I heard they actually have a chase scene in Quantum of Solace!

The chase scene in Casino Royale was such a bitter disappointment. It was like, "oh shit, he's driving off in the DBS I think there's gonna be a high speed chase!"

Then he rolls the damn car and that's that.

Anyways, I must go watch this soon.

The first scene in the movie is a nice DBS chase scene for you alvino Made me want to go driving haha.

I thought it was good, but I miss some things about the classic Bond movies. What ever happened to the gadgets? And like Joga said, I miss the witty lines, although there were some.

I really liked it, no doubt, I just miss the classic Bond. I'd say 8/10 probably.
