Gateway problems

my neighbor is having problems with his gateway gt4010. Toward the bottom of his screen it flicker and wavy..

Any more info PC specs, monitor name brand, driver version?

It's the monitor or graphics card. Ask him to try another monitor and tell us what happens.

yeah like rohan said, try another monitor and see if it still happens. Otherwise...get a video card and try it out.

Its a video problem forsure, now its only a matter of finding out which component is the culprit of the defect....the monitor? or video card?

Try the monitor suggestion, and then if nothing...try the video card aka installing one.
