The dark days of Obama's rule begin

Umm... no.

GM is doing bad, and has been doing bad. They need to show that they are making BIG changes, then they can get the money, IMO, but they can't just get cause they are doing bad.
GM wants the money so they can buy out Chrysler, which IMO, is not a good change, big change, but negative change, so no, they should not be getting the money.
Ford doesnt really need the money so much.
I think if they stopped covering everyone's cousin's cousin's cousin then they would have the money to improve the vehicles.

People should just buy a

my dad just bought a brand new f-150. I'm still not sure why he needs such a freaking big truck (its a 4x4, so its really high up) but its a nice truck.

My folks are ford people.

1995 Ford F-150 (With the 5.8 engine, not the crappy 5.0),
2004 Ford Taurus SES (With the 24Valve dual over head cam)
and the old 1991 Mercury tracer (escort counter part)

None of them are sports cars, which is fine, we don't pretend they are.

Ford has a lot of nice vehicles, especially their truck series, but that's besides the point. They arent requesting bailout, GM is.

Yeah, sadly I have a GM car and I am hoping that they make it through this recession because I have had problems with anything Ford. I think GMs (at least the somewhat older ones ... 2003) were built well. I have a 2003 Buick and it treats me well.
