Peerguardian basically blocks any IPs that it lists as "bad" from connecting to you. So that way to RIAA, MPAA, etc won't be able to see you.

If you want to hide torrent traffic from your ISP, what you need to do is enable encryption in your uTorrent client:

Keep in mind the program isn't perfect. While it is definitely smarter to run it while you're torrenting, it doesn't ensure total security.

I used that for a short period of time, but I don't anymore. They usually (the RIAA, at least) sue people with massive amounts of copyrighted material in their limewire shared folders.
