did you try clearing the CMOS?
disconnect the drives and start the computer?
Try a different Cable/Monitor?

this is my second monitor and ill try the cmos

the cmos didnt work but there is a red light on above my pci x 16 slot

im installing an a clean asus p5e3 motherboard.

my processor is a core 2 quad

45nm? If so, you may need to flash your BIOS to get support for your CPU. Do you have an older LGA775 CPU that you can drop in?

im getting a dvi to usb converter to see if that will resolve the problem
