Just Reformatted. Do I Need Any Of These Drivers?

i just reinstalled windows xp pro on a 6 year old dell dimension 4500.

so far i have installed avg anti virus, spyware terminator, mozilla firefox and world of warcraft.
i found the audio driver so there is sound.
i have not installed any sort of video driver yet. i have an ATI Radeon 9500 video card. i know i need to find one.

are there any drivers from this list that i should get?
i don't know much about how these work.

I say you should start looking at ati's website for the video driver. That is where you will find the newest, most up to date driver.

You should probably grab the chipset drivers and the correct network drivers for your adapter too.

thanks, i went and got the 8.10 catalyst. i installed it but now there is a window saying "Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 is required to run ATI Cayalyst Control Center. Please download and install the software from Microsoft's Website."

Where can I find that?

look in your "Device Manager" and if anything has a yellow question mark...then it means you are missing some sort of drivers. try to figure out what it is...and download it accordingly. If everything looks good...then you really don't need to download much.

Like mentioned above, the chipset drivers and vga drivers...but thats all
