Restore operating system and all installed programs.



Is it possible to copy operating system and all installed programs to cd or external hard drive and then in case of operating system failure restore operating system and all installed programs? What program should I use to do this (better free program) ?

You don't copy a os, you have to clone it.
Norton Ghost works for XP.
I havn't found a good clone software for Vista.
