I live in the UK but have a friend who is holoaday (cant spell) for a month conveniently when im about to buy a new computer and was intrested in ordering the parts to his accomodation. As long as i use a UK power supply would there be any compatability issues, just that i can get what i want in the US for about the sime price in $ as i can in £ in the uk, which is a lot cheaper

Most power supplies have a voltage switcher, which will go between (i think) 110v and 230v - so a lot of the time, that wont be a problem either. There shouldn't be any problem with the parts - Unless you buy a TV Tuner card, in which case you might get a problem with PAL and NTSC - the different video formats..

Make sure about the PSU though - it should have somthing like:

The red thing on the back..

You might be better off not risking it, though. Get the components from the USA, apart from the PSU - At least, that's what i'd proberbly do.

Most new PSUS switch between 110 and 230 automatically so you don't need to look for the switch.
